below are a selection of pieces that fall under the applied writing category of the writing minor
I wrote this piece for Topics in Applied Writing. Our task was simple: to write a persuasive piece about a topic that mattered to us but to do so in an ethical manner. After toying with the idea of writing a letter to representative, I decided that a persuasive speech delivered at the Democratic National Convention would have a little more gravitas to it.
This was my feature piece for my Writing Adventures online travel writing class. We were challenged to write a piece per week and then at the end of the quarter choose a piece to revise and resubmit. I chose my editorial on Croatia and this is the product of my revision.
